What we do and want
The Open Care for Children and Youth consists of two units that are part of the municipality's open care and offer preventive and treatment interventions for children, adolescents, and their families.

Within the units, we offer family treatment, intermediate care-like interventions, school social interventions, support for relatives, advice and support conversations, crisis support, field operations, support for young crime victims and young witnesses, parent support groups, and support and treatment via MiniMaria. We also have SSPF, SIG, the youth reception, and an open preschool that is part of a family center.

The Open Care for Children and Youth currently consists of about 35 employees. The workplace is characterized by good morale and a stable staff group with high competence and great commitment to their work. Our premises are centrally located in Tyresö and are easily accessible by public transport.

About the position
The youth treatment worker initiative targets young people aged 10-20 with criminal and/or norm-breaking behavior. The aim is to provide the youth with access to flexible support with high availability. As a youth treatment worker, you primarily work with young people who are assessed to be at risk of being drawn into criminal environments and/or developing a criminal lifestyle, but who are still assessed to be able to remain in their home municipality. The target group may also include young people returning to their home municipality after placement in SIS, HVB, or foster homes. The initiative is intended to be provided in combination with support from SSPF/SIG and support directed at guardians, family, and networks, and you often work in teams with other open care staff. The initiative started in 2025 and has so far been very well received. Since the initiative is relatively new, you have the chance to be involved in evaluating and developing the continued design of the initiative.

To increase the receptiveness of the youth, you need to be active and creative as a youth treatment worker to best adapt the support to the youth and their relatives. Since part of the assignment needs to take place in the youth's arenas, some working hours may be scheduled for evenings and, in some cases, weekends; however, you have great flexibility to adjust your working hours.

Who are you?
You are a trained social worker, behavioral scientist, or have other education that, combined with your experience, can be assessed as equivalent. Since you will be working on cases with high complexity as a youth treatment worker, you need to have experience in treatment work aimed at youth. It is advantageous if you have training in and experience with structured treatment methods aimed at the target group, such as FFT, rePulse, or crime programs. You have the ability to be both alliance-building and at the same time set clear boundaries.

You can express yourself clearly in both writing and speech. You have good knowledge of social services, relevant legislation, and the community at large. You have good knowledge of the target group and familiarity with relevant methods and support interventions. You enjoy working network-based, finding resources in the individual and the network, and strengthening what works. You find it easy to collaborate with others and to make contacts with relevant people around the youth.
